The Settling Dust

Hi there.

My name is Bertie, I’m 13 years old and I live in North Yorkshire, England. Recently, I’ve given myself the challenge to write a short book. I know that it will be challenging and it will take time but I am motivated. I think I’ve got some good ideas that I can’t wait to share with everyone.

I am going to use this blog as a place where I can publish my book chapter by chapter and get some feedback from you guys. Every time I finish writing a chapter I will upload it onto this blog and you can tell me in the comments whether you like it or not and how you’d like me to improve.

The book is called “The Settling Dust”. Its about a teenage boy called Sam who volunteers to go on a revolutionary trip to a newly discovered moon of Mars called X10MP. There he discovers a scary and exciting world much unlike Earth. Earth itself is collapsing. Global warming is destroying vast amounts of people and its up to Sam’s team to find life on the new planet.

Please note that every chapter you see on this site is first draft. Once I have done every chapter I will go back over everything and do lots of editing. The finished product will be on a page of its own (but of course it may never be finished because I’m an ultimate perfectionist, but oh well.)
